Minutes of July 6, 2013 Stockholder Meeting and the current Treasurers Report were read and approved.
Jeff thanked the following for work that has been performed. Guy & Melissa for providing ropes for dock and mowing beside road; Peggy & Pauline for the Recon entrance flowers; H.Rouse for mowing.
The Rip Rap project is up to $6600 with $1500 promised. 15 of 22 members have contributed. $900 is needed to be able to proceed by September.
A timber company requested permission to cross Recon property, but any action will be discussed by the Board. It looks doubtful that we would proceed with this.
Dogs on the beach should be restrained when other people are using the beach as a common courtesy.
On July 5th a corn hole tournament will be held at 1:00pm. Guy and Melissa will be in charge. Golf cart parade will be at 6:30 and will swing by the Spitlers so Billie can see.
Mike Amos is the new owner of lot# 38. The swim dock permit is due in December. The lease on the triangle near Olsens is due this year. Further action depends on the Corps. The Corps survey which was to have taken place last year has not occurred. If it is completed, the Corps will deal with individual land owners, not Recon.
Boating license are now affecting older individuals in VA or NC. The Recon website has details.
Recons 50th anniversary will be coming up soon. J.Applegate and C.Nimitz are in charge of the celebration.
From a previous Board meeting, what Recon could and could not spend money on was discussed. The Board is charged with allocating corporate funds and details are spelled out in the By-Laws.
Elections for officers was conducted with the following results; J.Dunson President,
C.Nimitz Vice President, and R.Spitler Sec/Treasurer.
The Proposed budget for next year was presented and approved.
